Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first quartile): Wage and salary workers: 16 years and over: Men Series ID: LEU0252911700Q Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Quarterly Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2024-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-04-16 9:03 AM CDT Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252911700 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 420 2000-04-01 416 2000-07-01 413 2000-10-01 421 2001-01-01 435 2001-04-01 433 2001-07-01 439 2001-10-01 444 2002-01-01 453 2002-04-01 447 2002-07-01 431 2002-10-01 448 2003-01-01 460 2003-04-01 452 2003-07-01 453 2003-10-01 461 2004-01-01 473 2004-04-01 467 2004-07-01 463 2004-10-01 474 2005-01-01 478 2005-04-01 475 2005-07-01 465 2005-10-01 484 2006-01-01 488 2006-04-01 486 2006-07-01 487 2006-10-01 490 2007-01-01 500 2007-04-01 502 2007-07-01 500 2007-10-01 505 2008-01-01 515 2008-04-01 519 2008-07-01 519 2008-10-01 520 2009-01-01 524 2009-04-01 523 2009-07-01 518 2009-10-01 545 2010-01-01 545 2010-04-01 517 2010-07-01 515 2010-10-01 529 2011-01-01 537 2011-04-01 523 2011-07-01 523 2011-10-01 535 2012-01-01 550 2012-04-01 544 2012-07-01 526 2012-10-01 552 2013-01-01 550 2013-04-01 543 2013-07-01 546 2013-10-01 560 2014-01-01 564 2014-04-01 559 2014-07-01 577 2014-10-01 574 2015-01-01 572 2015-04-01 577 2015-07-01 570 2015-10-01 592 2016-01-01 586 2016-04-01 587 2016-07-01 593 2016-10-01 597 2017-01-01 610 2017-04-01 603 2017-07-01 607 2017-10-01 612 2018-01-01 622 2018-04-01 618 2018-07-01 629 2018-10-01 652 2019-01-01 657 2019-04-01 659 2019-07-01 662 2019-10-01 672 2020-01-01 686 2020-04-01 717 2020-07-01 710 2020-10-01 698 2021-01-01 703 2021-04-01 711 2021-07-01 720 2021-10-01 741 2022-01-01 749 2022-04-01 755 2022-07-01 776 2022-10-01 792 2023-01-01 790 2023-04-01 785 2023-07-01 801 2023-10-01 830 2024-01-01 817
