Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first quartile): Wage and salary workers: Less than a High School diploma: 25 years and over Series ID: LEU0252916600Q Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Quarterly Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2024-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-04-16 9:03 AM CDT Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252916600 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 281 2000-04-01 281 2000-07-01 279 2000-10-01 284 2001-01-01 288 2001-04-01 296 2001-07-01 291 2001-10-01 293 2002-01-01 294 2002-04-01 298 2002-07-01 298 2002-10-01 300 2003-01-01 300 2003-04-01 301 2003-07-01 303 2003-10-01 302 2004-01-01 304 2004-04-01 305 2004-07-01 305 2004-10-01 308 2005-01-01 309 2005-04-01 310 2005-07-01 311 2005-10-01 313 2006-01-01 318 2006-04-01 319 2006-07-01 320 2006-10-01 318 2007-01-01 327 2007-04-01 328 2007-07-01 325 2007-10-01 323 2008-01-01 338 2008-04-01 344 2008-07-01 347 2008-10-01 341 2009-01-01 337 2009-04-01 351 2009-07-01 341 2009-10-01 342 2010-01-01 338 2010-04-01 341 2010-07-01 351 2010-10-01 339 2011-01-01 339 2011-04-01 348 2011-07-01 350 2011-10-01 348 2012-01-01 346 2012-04-01 353 2012-07-01 347 2012-10-01 358 2013-01-01 346 2013-04-01 367 2013-07-01 363 2013-10-01 355 2014-01-01 362 2014-04-01 377 2014-07-01 382 2014-10-01 372 2015-01-01 373 2015-04-01 384 2015-07-01 388 2015-10-01 390 2016-01-01 386 2016-04-01 390 2016-07-01 396 2016-10-01 404 2017-01-01 396 2017-04-01 404 2017-07-01 410 2017-10-01 410 2018-01-01 428 2018-04-01 430 2018-07-01 428 2018-10-01 436 2019-01-01 433 2019-04-01 477 2019-07-01 476 2019-10-01 456 2020-01-01 476 2020-04-01 491 2020-07-01 494 2020-10-01 488 2021-01-01 485 2021-04-01 493 2021-07-01 498 2021-10-01 510 2022-01-01 533 2022-04-01 534 2022-07-01 561 2022-10-01 531 2023-01-01 548 2023-04-01 574 2023-07-01 591 2023-10-01 586 2024-01-01 586
