Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (ninth decile): Wage and salary workers: Less than a High School diploma: 25 years and over Series ID: LEU0252916900Q Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Quarterly Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2024-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-04-16 9:03 AM CDT Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252916900 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 706 2000-04-01 711 2000-07-01 699 2000-10-01 704 2001-01-01 704 2001-04-01 720 2001-07-01 740 2001-10-01 737 2002-01-01 739 2002-04-01 733 2002-07-01 729 2002-10-01 728 2003-01-01 766 2003-04-01 753 2003-07-01 731 2003-10-01 758 2004-01-01 758 2004-04-01 798 2004-07-01 771 2004-10-01 766 2005-01-01 789 2005-04-01 808 2005-07-01 782 2005-10-01 798 2006-01-01 804 2006-04-01 791 2006-07-01 805 2006-10-01 774 2007-01-01 833 2007-04-01 868 2007-07-01 841 2007-10-01 810 2008-01-01 821 2008-04-01 891 2008-07-01 877 2008-10-01 883 2009-01-01 901 2009-04-01 857 2009-07-01 858 2009-10-01 823 2010-01-01 822 2010-04-01 823 2010-07-01 844 2010-10-01 801 2011-01-01 852 2011-04-01 873 2011-07-01 887 2011-10-01 838 2012-01-01 857 2012-04-01 921 2012-07-01 889 2012-10-01 901 2013-01-01 875 2013-04-01 953 2013-07-01 903 2013-10-01 902 2014-01-01 855 2014-04-01 897 2014-07-01 875 2014-10-01 917 2015-01-01 915 2015-04-01 957 2015-07-01 894 2015-10-01 1005 2016-01-01 957 2016-04-01 958 2016-07-01 947 2016-10-01 1012 2017-01-01 994 2017-04-01 999 2017-07-01 1034 2017-10-01 1057 2018-01-01 1023 2018-04-01 1005 2018-07-01 1049 2018-10-01 1002 2019-01-01 1053 2019-04-01 1090 2019-07-01 1076 2019-10-01 1098 2020-01-01 1227 2020-04-01 1183 2020-07-01 1152 2020-10-01 1175 2021-01-01 1162 2021-04-01 1182 2021-07-01 1195 2021-10-01 1176 2022-01-01 1200 2022-04-01 1223 2022-07-01 1238 2022-10-01 1217 2023-01-01 1248 2023-04-01 1274 2023-07-01 1249 2023-10-01 1282 2024-01-01 1291
