Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first quartile): Wage and salary workers: 25 years and over: Men Series ID: LEU0252920100Q Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Quarterly Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2024-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-04-16 9:03 AM CDT Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252920100 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 467 2000-04-01 466 2000-07-01 467 2000-10-01 471 2001-01-01 482 2001-04-01 479 2001-07-01 489 2001-10-01 487 2002-01-01 492 2002-04-01 490 2002-07-01 489 2002-10-01 492 2003-01-01 497 2003-04-01 495 2003-07-01 500 2003-10-01 499 2004-01-01 506 2004-04-01 509 2004-07-01 506 2004-10-01 512 2005-01-01 512 2005-04-01 512 2005-07-01 505 2005-10-01 517 2006-01-01 523 2006-04-01 520 2006-07-01 534 2006-10-01 521 2007-01-01 539 2007-04-01 545 2007-07-01 552 2007-10-01 550 2008-01-01 567 2008-04-01 572 2008-07-01 578 2008-10-01 575 2009-01-01 579 2009-04-01 579 2009-07-01 573 2009-10-01 590 2010-01-01 584 2010-04-01 568 2010-07-01 575 2010-10-01 578 2011-01-01 578 2011-04-01 579 2011-07-01 582 2011-10-01 585 2012-01-01 593 2012-04-01 596 2012-07-01 584 2012-10-01 597 2013-01-01 590 2013-04-01 590 2013-07-01 598 2013-10-01 597 2014-01-01 602 2014-04-01 598 2014-07-01 609 2014-10-01 608 2015-01-01 605 2015-04-01 609 2015-07-01 606 2015-10-01 621 2016-01-01 616 2016-04-01 623 2016-07-01 634 2016-10-01 637 2017-01-01 647 2017-04-01 645 2017-07-01 651 2017-10-01 650 2018-01-01 666 2018-04-01 674 2018-07-01 683 2018-10-01 693 2019-01-01 696 2019-04-01 701 2019-07-01 706 2019-10-01 709 2020-01-01 729 2020-04-01 756 2020-07-01 754 2020-10-01 736 2021-01-01 745 2021-04-01 757 2021-07-01 766 2021-10-01 786 2022-01-01 789 2022-04-01 798 2022-07-01 822 2022-10-01 831 2023-01-01 837 2023-04-01 844 2023-07-01 856 2023-10-01 887 2024-01-01 866
