Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first quartile): Wage and salary workers: 25 years and over: White: Men Series ID: LEU0252929000A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:05 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252929000 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 483 2001-01-01 497 2002-01-01 506 2003-01-01 511 2004-01-01 523 2005-01-01 528 2006-01-01 546 2007-01-01 573 2008-01-01 589 2009-01-01 595 2010-01-01 591 2011-01-01 594 2012-01-01 608 2013-01-01 609 2014-01-01 619 2015-01-01 630 2016-01-01 649 2017-01-01 673 2018-01-01 703 2019-01-01 725 2020-01-01 767 2021-01-01 786 2022-01-01 830 2023-01-01 881
