Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first quartile): Wage and salary workers: Less than a High School diploma: 25 years and over: Black or African American: Women Series ID: LEU0252942200A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:05 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252942200 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 246 2001-01-01 254 2002-01-01 255 2003-01-01 260 2004-01-01 268 2005-01-01 275 2006-01-01 287 2007-01-01 299 2008-01-01 302 2009-01-01 304 2010-01-01 313 2011-01-01 305 2012-01-01 306 2013-01-01 308 2014-01-01 332 2015-01-01 332 2016-01-01 340 2017-01-01 355 2018-01-01 349 2019-01-01 369 2020-01-01 402 2021-01-01 412 2022-01-01 430 2023-01-01 486
