Title: Employed full time: Median usual weekly nominal earnings (second quartile): Wage and salary workers: Service occupations: 16 years and over Series ID: LEU0254543400Q Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Quarterly Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2024-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-04-16 9:02 AM CDT Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254543400 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 366 2000-04-01 360 2000-07-01 362 2000-10-01 373 2001-01-01 383 2001-04-01 388 2001-07-01 379 2001-10-01 395 2002-01-01 391 2002-04-01 397 2002-07-01 391 2002-10-01 405 2003-01-01 407 2003-04-01 398 2003-07-01 400 2003-10-01 409 2004-01-01 410 2004-04-01 409 2004-07-01 411 2004-10-01 413 2005-01-01 416 2005-04-01 406 2005-07-01 410 2005-10-01 418 2006-01-01 419 2006-04-01 421 2006-07-01 423 2006-10-01 426 2007-01-01 451 2007-04-01 459 2007-07-01 445 2007-10-01 460 2008-01-01 464 2008-04-01 475 2008-07-01 470 2008-10-01 487 2009-01-01 457 2009-04-01 468 2009-07-01 471 2009-10-01 482 2010-01-01 476 2010-04-01 486 2010-07-01 466 2010-10-01 485 2011-01-01 483 2011-04-01 489 2011-07-01 474 2011-10-01 496 2012-01-01 491 2012-04-01 485 2012-07-01 487 2012-10-01 476 2013-01-01 501 2013-04-01 493 2013-07-01 490 2013-10-01 489 2014-01-01 504 2014-04-01 500 2014-07-01 508 2014-10-01 508 2015-01-01 505 2015-04-01 506 2015-07-01 504 2015-10-01 520 2016-01-01 526 2016-04-01 512 2016-07-01 520 2016-10-01 540 2017-01-01 549 2017-04-01 549 2017-07-01 540 2017-10-01 539 2018-01-01 567 2018-04-01 558 2018-07-01 573 2018-10-01 574 2019-01-01 587 2019-04-01 584 2019-07-01 595 2019-10-01 601 2020-01-01 605 2020-04-01 625 2020-07-01 641 2020-10-01 626 2021-01-01 626 2021-04-01 625 2021-07-01 636 2021-10-01 679 2022-01-01 663 2022-04-01 707 2022-07-01 709 2022-10-01 705 2023-01-01 711 2023-04-01 718 2023-07-01 724 2023-10-01 735 2024-01-01 739
