Title: Employed full time: Median usual weekly nominal earnings (second quartile): Wage and salary workers: First-line supervisors of housekeeping and janitorial workers occupations: 16 years and over Series ID: LEU0254547500A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:06 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254547500 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 481 2001-01-01 480 2002-01-01 489 2003-01-01 469 2004-01-01 479 2005-01-01 537 2006-01-01 609 2007-01-01 586 2008-01-01 623 2009-01-01 575 2010-01-01 621 2011-01-01 646 2012-01-01 569 2013-01-01 638 2014-01-01 596 2015-01-01 620 2016-01-01 655 2017-01-01 661 2018-01-01 711 2019-01-01 710 2020-01-01 738 2021-01-01 829 2022-01-01 833 2023-01-01 896
