Title: Employed full time: Median usual weekly nominal earnings (second quartile): Wage and salary workers: Bus and truck mechanics and diesel engine specialists occupations: 16 years and over Series ID: LEU0254564000A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:04 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254564000 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 635 2001-01-01 696 2002-01-01 666 2003-01-01 681 2004-01-01 706 2005-01-01 694 2006-01-01 737 2007-01-01 698 2008-01-01 763 2009-01-01 803 2010-01-01 767 2011-01-01 801 2012-01-01 843 2013-01-01 794 2014-01-01 813 2015-01-01 831 2016-01-01 874 2017-01-01 887 2018-01-01 942 2019-01-01 984 2020-01-01 1023 2021-01-01 996 2022-01-01 1025 2023-01-01 1093
