Title: Employed full time: Median usual weekly nominal earnings (second quartile): Wage and salary workers: 25 to 54 years: Asian: Women Series ID: LEU0254870400A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:06 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254870400 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 583 2001-01-01 586 2002-01-01 601 2003-01-01 614 2004-01-01 644 2005-01-01 695 2006-01-01 738 2007-01-01 761 2008-01-01 787 2009-01-01 825 2010-01-01 813 2011-01-01 786 2012-01-01 840 2013-01-01 886 2014-01-01 905 2015-01-01 932 2016-01-01 969 2017-01-01 953 2018-01-01 1012 2019-01-01 1145 2020-01-01 1230 2021-01-01 1240 2022-01-01 1359 2023-01-01 1405
