Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (ninth decile): Wage and salary workers: 16 years and over: Asian Series ID: LEU0254872300Q Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Quarterly Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2024-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-04-16 9:02 AM CDT Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254872300 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 1374 2000-04-01 1395 2000-07-01 1527 2000-10-01 1468 2001-01-01 1547 2001-04-01 1472 2001-07-01 1547 2001-10-01 1480 2002-01-01 1621 2002-04-01 1509 2002-07-01 1572 2002-10-01 1632 2003-01-01 1694 2003-04-01 1610 2003-07-01 1638 2003-10-01 1669 2004-01-01 1758 2004-04-01 1730 2004-07-01 1757 2004-10-01 1746 2005-01-01 1753 2005-04-01 1742 2005-07-01 1762 2005-10-01 1910 2006-01-01 1877 2006-04-01 1900 2006-07-01 1888 2006-10-01 1904 2007-01-01 1896 2007-04-01 1885 2007-07-01 1888 2007-10-01 1907 2008-01-01 1921 2008-04-01 1906 2008-07-01 1916 2008-10-01 1993 2009-01-01 1923 2009-04-01 1919 2009-07-01 1991 2009-10-01 1899 2010-01-01 2004 2010-04-01 2107 2010-07-01 2039 2010-10-01 2104 2011-01-01 1977 2011-04-01 2024 2011-07-01 2096 2011-10-01 2018 2012-01-01 2114 2012-04-01 2207 2012-07-01 2305 2012-10-01 2142 2013-01-01 2118 2013-04-01 2381 2013-07-01 2192 2013-10-01 2154 2014-01-01 2293 2014-04-01 2308 2014-07-01 2413 2014-10-01 2304 2015-01-01 2394 2015-04-01 2322 2015-07-01 2301 2015-10-01 2483 2016-01-01 2483 2016-04-01 2507 2016-07-01 2419 2016-10-01 2700 2017-01-01 2574 2017-04-01 2519 2017-07-01 2482 2017-10-01 2702 2018-01-01 2687 2018-04-01 2608 2018-07-01 2573 2018-10-01 2704 2019-01-01 2894 2019-04-01 2805 2019-07-01 2908 2019-10-01 2875 2020-01-01 2976 2020-04-01 2912 2020-07-01 3119 2020-10-01 2923 2021-01-01 3107 2021-04-01 2991 2021-07-01 3100 2021-10-01 3270 2022-01-01 3116 2022-04-01 3172 2022-07-01 3440 2022-10-01 3489 2023-01-01 3497 2023-04-01 3827 2023-07-01 3531 2023-10-01 3807 2024-01-01 3834
