Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first quartile): Wage and salary workers: Bachelor's degree only: 25 years and over: White Series ID: LEU0254937200A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:05 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254937200 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 603 2001-01-01 621 2002-01-01 631 2003-01-01 641 2004-01-01 653 2005-01-01 665 2006-01-01 679 2007-01-01 708 2008-01-01 726 2009-01-01 733 2010-01-01 737 2011-01-01 746 2012-01-01 748 2013-01-01 760 2014-01-01 760 2015-01-01 775 2016-01-01 808 2017-01-01 817 2018-01-01 833 2019-01-01 866 2020-01-01 908 2021-01-01 927 2022-01-01 982 2023-01-01 1024
