Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first decile): Wage and salary workers: Advanced degree: 25 years and over: White Series ID: LEU0254937700A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:03 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254937700 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 545 2001-01-01 560 2002-01-01 577 2003-01-01 588 2004-01-01 606 2005-01-01 612 2006-01-01 626 2007-01-01 632 2008-01-01 651 2009-01-01 679 2010-01-01 674 2011-01-01 677 2012-01-01 670 2013-01-01 688 2014-01-01 705 2015-01-01 704 2016-01-01 728 2017-01-01 735 2018-01-01 746 2019-01-01 778 2020-01-01 796 2021-01-01 829 2022-01-01 877 2023-01-01 912
