Title: Employed part time: Median usual weekly nominal earnings (second quartile): Wage and salary workers: 16 years and over: Asian: Women Series ID: LEU0264468600A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:06 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0264468600 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 191 2001-01-01 191 2002-01-01 200 2003-01-01 219 2004-01-01 204 2005-01-01 210 2006-01-01 224 2007-01-01 225 2008-01-01 246 2009-01-01 248 2010-01-01 255 2011-01-01 254 2012-01-01 258 2013-01-01 251 2014-01-01 256 2015-01-01 267 2016-01-01 267 2017-01-01 276 2018-01-01 277 2019-01-01 304 2020-01-01 332 2021-01-01 354 2022-01-01 384 2023-01-01 399
