Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first quartile): Wage and salary workers: 25 years and over Series ID: LEU0252916100A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:05 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252916100 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 406 2001-01-01 423 2002-01-01 434 2003-01-01 447 2004-01-01 461 2005-01-01 470 2006-01-01 483 2007-01-01 495 2008-01-01 511 2009-01-01 518 2010-01-01 520 2011-01-01 528 2012-01-01 538 2013-01-01 549 2014-01-01 561 2015-01-01 572 2016-01-01 588 2017-01-01 604 2018-01-01 619 2019-01-01 647 2020-01-01 692 2021-01-01 714 2022-01-01 752 2023-01-01 792
