Title: Employed full time: Median usual weekly nominal earnings (second quartile): Wage and salary workers: Advanced degree: 25 years and over Series ID: LEU0252919700A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:06 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252919700 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 1024 2001-01-01 1061 2002-01-01 1096 2003-01-01 1126 2004-01-01 1153 2005-01-01 1173 2006-01-01 1203 2007-01-01 1236 2008-01-01 1287 2009-01-01 1328 2010-01-01 1351 2011-01-01 1346 2012-01-01 1373 2013-01-01 1389 2014-01-01 1386 2015-01-01 1403 2016-01-01 1444 2017-01-01 1470 2018-01-01 1521 2019-01-01 1567 2020-01-01 1624 2021-01-01 1658 2022-01-01 1755 2023-01-01 1837
