Title: Employed full time: Median usual weekly nominal earnings (second quartile): Wage and salary workers: Billing and posting clerks occupations: 16 years and over Series ID: LEU0254552800A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:06 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254552800 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 445 2001-01-01 470 2002-01-01 497 2003-01-01 508 2004-01-01 518 2005-01-01 572 2006-01-01 548 2007-01-01 560 2008-01-01 584 2009-01-01 582 2010-01-01 606 2011-01-01 607 2012-01-01 627 2013-01-01 637 2014-01-01 642 2015-01-01 657 2016-01-01 666 2017-01-01 696 2018-01-01 721 2019-01-01 742 2020-01-01 749 2021-01-01 772 2022-01-01 854 2023-01-01 826
