Title: Employed full time: Median usual weekly nominal earnings (second quartile): Wage and salary workers: Business and financial operations occupations: 16 years and over: Men Series ID: LEU0254634500A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:04 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254634500 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 953 2001-01-01 951 2002-01-01 968 2003-01-01 1014 2004-01-01 1007 2005-01-01 1037 2006-01-01 1134 2007-01-01 1131 2008-01-01 1167 2009-01-01 1171 2010-01-01 1227 2011-01-01 1225 2012-01-01 1274 2013-01-01 1263 2014-01-01 1310 2015-01-01 1327 2016-01-01 1373 2017-01-01 1390 2018-01-01 1383 2019-01-01 1468 2020-01-01 1550 2021-01-01 1552 2022-01-01 1632 2023-01-01 1674
