Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first decile): Wage and salary workers: 16 years and over: Asian: Women Series ID: LEU0254871600A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:06 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254871600 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 269 2001-01-01 290 2002-01-01 288 2003-01-01 286 2004-01-01 292 2005-01-01 308 2006-01-01 329 2007-01-01 326 2008-01-01 335 2009-01-01 344 2010-01-01 356 2011-01-01 354 2012-01-01 346 2013-01-01 374 2014-01-01 376 2015-01-01 385 2016-01-01 398 2017-01-01 406 2018-01-01 432 2019-01-01 481 2020-01-01 503 2021-01-01 524 2022-01-01 573 2023-01-01 608
