Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first decile): Wage and salary workers: Bachelor's degree and higher: 25 years and over: Hispanic or Latino: Men Series ID: LEU0254879800A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:03 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254879800 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 354 2001-01-01 369 2002-01-01 355 2003-01-01 364 2004-01-01 392 2005-01-01 392 2006-01-01 416 2007-01-01 449 2008-01-01 452 2009-01-01 487 2010-01-01 480 2011-01-01 488 2012-01-01 474 2013-01-01 508 2014-01-01 510 2015-01-01 517 2016-01-01 566 2017-01-01 493 2018-01-01 534 2019-01-01 588 2020-01-01 583 2021-01-01 644 2022-01-01 684 2023-01-01 709
