Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (ninth decile): Wage and salary workers: 25 years and over: Asian Series ID: LEU0254884800A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:06 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254884800 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 1471 2001-01-01 1553 2002-01-01 1612 2003-01-01 1729 2004-01-01 1773 2005-01-01 1852 2006-01-01 1903 2007-01-01 1906 2008-01-01 1958 2009-01-01 1979 2010-01-01 2106 2011-01-01 2090 2012-01-01 2278 2013-01-01 2280 2014-01-01 2347 2015-01-01 2404 2016-01-01 2569 2017-01-01 2610 2018-01-01 2698 2019-01-01 2898 2020-01-01 3019 2021-01-01 3135 2022-01-01 3433 2023-01-01 3798
