Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first decile): Wage and salary workers: 25 years and over Series ID: LEU0252916000A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2022-01-01 Last Updated: 2023-01-19 9:05 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252916000 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 294 2001-01-01 305 2002-01-01 311 2003-01-01 318 2004-01-01 325 2005-01-01 331 2006-01-01 342 2007-01-01 353 2008-01-01 369 2009-01-01 375 2010-01-01 377 2011-01-01 380 2012-01-01 382 2013-01-01 392 2014-01-01 396 2015-01-01 402 2016-01-01 415 2017-01-01 434 2018-01-01 458 2019-01-01 482 2020-01-01 505 2021-01-01 528 2022-01-01 580
