Title: Employed full time: Usual weekly nominal earnings (first quartile): Wage and salary workers: 25 years and over: Women Series ID: LEU0252924100A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2022-01-01 Last Updated: 2023-01-19 9:05 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0252924100 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 358 2001-01-01 380 2002-01-01 390 2003-01-01 400 2004-01-01 410 2005-01-01 417 2006-01-01 428 2007-01-01 444 2008-01-01 470 2009-01-01 479 2010-01-01 484 2011-01-01 493 2012-01-01 494 2013-01-01 507 2014-01-01 509 2015-01-01 518 2016-01-01 534 2017-01-01 560 2018-01-01 576 2019-01-01 597 2020-01-01 633 2021-01-01 661 2022-01-01 700
