Title: Employed full time: Median usual weekly nominal earnings (second quartile): Wage and salary workers: First-line supervisors of production and operating workers occupations: 16 years and over Series ID: LEU0254566400A Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Release: Weekly and Hourly Earnings from the Current Population Survey (Not a Press Release) Seasonal Adjustment: Not Seasonally Adjusted Frequency: Annual Units: Dollars Date Range: 2000-01-01 to 2023-01-01 Last Updated: 2024-01-18 9:04 AM CST Notes: Data measure usual weekly earnings of wage and salary workers. Wage and salary workers are workers who receive wages, salaries, commissions, tips, payment in kind, or piece rates. The group includes employees in both the private and public sectors but, for the purposes of the earnings series, it excludes all self-employed persons, both those with incorporated businesses and those with unincorporated businesses. Usual weekly earnings represent earnings before taxes and other deductions and include any overtime pay, commissions, or tips usually received (at the main job in the case of multiple jobholders). Prior to 1994, respondents were asked how much they usually earned per week. Since January 1994, respondents have been asked to identify the easiest way for them to report earnings (hourly, weekly, biweekly, twice monthly, monthly, annually, or other) and how much they usually earn in the reported time period. Earnings reported on a basis other than weekly are converted to a weekly equivalent. The term "usual" is determined by each respondent's own understanding of the term. If the respondent asks for a definition of "usual," interviewers are instructed to define the term as more than half the weeks worked during the past 4 or 5 months. For more information see https://www.bls.gov/cps/earnings.htm The series comes from the 'Current Population Survey (Household Survey)' The source code is: LEU0254566400 DATE VALUE 2000-01-01 650 2001-01-01 680 2002-01-01 709 2003-01-01 693 2004-01-01 726 2005-01-01 761 2006-01-01 774 2007-01-01 824 2008-01-01 857 2009-01-01 855 2010-01-01 800 2011-01-01 888 2012-01-01 917 2013-01-01 902 2014-01-01 903 2015-01-01 875 2016-01-01 923 2017-01-01 966 2018-01-01 980 2019-01-01 949 2020-01-01 1038 2021-01-01 1080 2022-01-01 1090 2023-01-01 1175
