The Statistics Were Compiled By The National Forest Products Association (Formerly National Lumber Manufacturers Association), From Monthly Reports From Members And Nonmembers, With Estimates For Nonreporting Mills. The Mills Reporting Represent About 75 Per Cent Of Total Industry Output In Recent Years. Beginning In 1941, The Figures Include Prefinished Flooring. Relatively Small Amounts Of Heavy Hardwood Flooring Other Than Oak Have Been Included Since 1945. (Approximately 5 Per Cent Of The Total Is Usually Maple, Beech, Birch, And Pecan.)
