From May 10, 1939 To May 15, 1939, Reductions Of From $4.00 To $8.00 A Ton Off Base Price Were Prevalent. Although These Concessions Were Withdrawn On May 15, Many Orders Placed At Concessions Ranging From $4.00 To $6.00 Were Later Adjusted To The Maximum $8.00 Reduction From The Base Prices. 1940 Data Were Computed By NBER From Weekly Figures.
