Data Include Federal Reserve Notes From December 1914 On; Federal Reserve Banks Notes Are Included From May 1916 On. Data For September 1917 Reflects A Change In Reserve Requirements Which Eliminated Lawful Money In Vault From The Calculation Of Reserves (See Annual Comptroller Report Of 1917, Vol. I, Pp. 40-42).
