Notes:

This series reports the share of adults aged 18-64 who used generative artificial intelligence outside of work last week. Respondents who report using generative artificial intelligence outside their job are asked: "Did you use Generative AI outside your job LAST WEEK?" The series covers all adults aged 18-64, counting as users last week only those who used it on at least one day. This series is by construction no higher than the corresponding adoption rate, because some respondents who use generative artificial intelligence outside of work did not use it last week. Data comes from the Real-Time Population Survey (RPS), a nationally representative online labor market survey of working-age adults aged 18-64 in the United States.
