The tri-party general collateral rate volume is the transaction volume underlying the Tri-Party General Collateral Rate (TGCR) (https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/TGCRRATE). The transaction volume is calculated as the sum of overnight transaction volume used to calculate the reference rate, rounded to the nearest $1 billion.

The data are reported by the New York Fed based on transaction-level tri-party data collected from the Bank of New York Mellon (BNY) only. The volume data exclude general collateral finance repo transactions and transactions to which the Federal Reserve is a counterparty.
