The Joplin District, Sometimes Called The Tri-State District, Includes Parts Of Missouri, Kansas, And Oklahoma. Data Given As Monthly Totals, Prior To 1936, Were Reduced By NBER To Weekly Averages By Dividing By The Number Of Weeks Ending On Saturday Within The Month; Beginning In January 1936, By Dividing By The Number Of Weeks Ending On Saturday Which End Through The Third Of The Next Month (See Scb, 1940 Annual Supplement, P.222, Note 4).
